Teachers
Meet our dedicated teachers at Young Hearts Preschool. With a warm and caring nature, they support the lead teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Their enthusiasm and patience ensure that each child receives personalized attention and guidance. Their strong organizational skills and creativity contribute to a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere. They are valuable assets to the Young Hearts team.
Mrs. Campbell is responsible for the creation and operations of Young Hearts Preschool. Additionally, she oversees all After-School Athenaeum, summer camp, and co-curricular programs. Prior to her current position with Great Hearts Academies, Keri Campbell has served as a Regional Manager for Children’s Learning Adventure, a Center Director, District Manager, Region Vice President and Vice President for Knowledge Universe and Operations Manager for Rainbow Preschools. In her tenure, she has managed 123 preschools, 660 before and after school programs, 20 private elementary schools and 2 private middle schools in 23 states. She is a past board member of Valley of the Sun Association for the Education of Young Children (local chapter of NAEYC) and was selected to be on the advisory committee for First Things First Arizona. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan and has completed graduate level coursework in Secondary Education at Eastern Michigan University. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 37 years, their 3 children, and her two grandchildren.
Mrs. Rodriguez has worked in the Early Childhood field for over 38years. Between California and Arizona, she has earned accreditation for 3 out of 8 preschools. Her schools attained a 3.5- and 4-star rating with Qualify First. She has held positions from assistant teacher, director, and mentor teacher. She has been a trainer for AZ state programs CCPT, SUCCCEDDS and a mentor for the CDA (Child Development Associates Credential). She is well versed with ADHS licensing rules and regulations, First Things First rating systems, The Workforce Registry, and has established great relationships with many of the state’s licensing surveyors.
Mrs. Lewis has been at Young Hearts since it’s doors opened in 2022. She is a passionate educator and leader who has been working in Early Childhood education for 17 years. Mrs. Lewis is committed to making Young Hearts a wonderful educational institution for all students. She and her husband have been married for over 28 years, and together they have 3 lovely daughters, joined by 2 wonderful son in laws, and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing games, hiking, and swimming.
Ms. Cooper has recently moved to Arizona from Kansas. She has five wonderful children ranging in ages from sixteen to four years old with her spouse of over seventeen years. She has been helping children grow and develop for over fourteen years. She loves to see children learning in a safe environment where it is fun to play. She has her Associates Degree, CDA, and is three classes away from her BA in Psychology focused on Child and Adolescent Development. Her children are her world and she loves how busy they keep her. She loves to teach, mentor, and learn new things. She is very excited to join the Young Hearts famly.
Ms. Berrelleza, or, “Ms. B”, has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 4 years. She is a strong but calm teacher, dedicated to building the knowledge of every student in her classroom. Outside of work, Ms. B enjoys traveling, baking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Ms. Herrera is in her fourth year of teaching in early childhood education. Prior to teaching in Arizona, she was living in sunny Florida where she worked for the Walt Disney Co. in attractions and resort front desk operations. When she is not at work, she loves to journal, hike, play video games and travel to new places. She is very excited and honored to be a part of the Young Hearts team and further her teaching career!
Ms. Kuehl was born in sunny San Diego, CA and raised in Arizona. She has gained three years of experience in early childhood education, gaining hands-on experience in nurturing the growth and development of the youngest learners. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Kuehl is a proud mom of two wonderful girls. She enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing hobbies such as scrapbooking and thrifting.
Ms. K has been a teacher here at Young Hearts for two years. Prior to teaching, Ms. K worked as a nanny for three years. Ms. K loves being a part of the Young Hearts team and cannot wait to continue with the school and community. Her favorite part of teaching is utilizing creative ideas to make her classroom welcoming to build connections with students. She cannot wait to meet you and your students!
Ms. Huizar was born and raised in Buckeye, AZ. She has worked in childcare for about two years, gaining experience with children from kindergarten through 12thgrade. She is dedicated to providing children with a positive and nurturing learning environment. Passionate about education, she is eager to further her studies and become a teacher. Outside of work she enjoys journaling, traveling to new places and capturing memories through photography. She is excited to continue growing in her career and take the next steps towards becoming an educator.
Ms. Vega is originally from Amarillo, Texas. She has worked with children in the Great Hearts family for nearlythree years and here with the Young Hearts family for nearlytwo years. She has worked with children from preschool to Eighth grade. In her down time Ms. Vega enjoys building legos, traveling, hiking, reading, camping and baking.
Ms. Wilson has gained a passion for teaching through her experiences as a gymnastics coach and working in two early childhood settings previously. Everyday, she continues to learn and grow alongside her students and looks forward to sharing the joy of learning with Young Hearts- Buckeye.
